  25.  ║  YO, KILLERS: Here are some (or all) of the debug- and secret-options you  ║
  26.  ║               (cowards) can use in Id Software's DOOM, which really is AN  ║
  27.  ║               EXCELLENT/PERFECT GAME!!! DOOM really does make Wolfenstein  ║
  28.  ║               look like a "kiddies"/primitive game. Since "Wolfy" has also ║
  29.  ║               been released for the Super Nintendo (SNES) - which is a     ║
  30.  ║               shame - it is a "kiddies" game. The only disappointing fact  ║
  31.  ║               of DOOM is: there is NOT enough of it (just 27 levels)!!!    ║
  32.  ║               For all those DOOM-players who just cannot get enough of the ║
  33.  ║               chainsaw: yep guys, it really does give a kick to saw those  ║
  34.  ║               demons to bits! (Do you also wonder whenever the thing is    ║
  35.  ║               going to run out of fuel - probably never).                  ║

  62.  ║  IDSPISPOPD            ║   Toggle "no clipping-mode" on and off. Let's you ║
  63.  ║                        ║   walk through walls and makes your graphics look ║
  64.  ║                        ║   pretty weird. It is a good and easy way to      ║
  65.  ║                        ║   discover secret places. Note: when this mode    ║
  66.  ║                        ║   is active, you cannot pick up any items; when   ║
  67.  ║                        ║   you are "standing in walls", you cannot shoot   ║
  68.  ║                        ║   enemies, and enemies will not be able to "see"  ║
  69.  ║                        ║   you                                             ║
  70.  ║  IDMYPOS               ║   This should be some kind of position marker     ║

  75.  ║  NOTE: All these options can be typed at any times, when you play DOOM.    ║
  76.  ║        You do not have to start up DOOM with some sort of parameter (such  ║
  77.  ║        as "-goobers" with Wolfenstein) to use these options. To use one    ║
  78.  ║        of the above options, type the desired command once, type the it    ║
  79.  ║        a second time to "switch" the option off. The commands IDKFA,       ║
  80.  ║        IDCLEV??, IDDT, IDMYPOS and IDCHOPPERS cannot be "switched" off.    ║

  86.  ║  1: -DEBUGFILE: If you run DOOM by typing "doom -debugfile" the game will  ║
  87.  ║                 save a file named "debug0.txt" in the directory where DOOM ║
  88.  ║                 is installed. It is an ASCII file, but it also seems to be ║
  89.  ║                 a useless file. You figure out what you do with it!        ║
  90.  ╠════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╣
  91.  ║  2: -DEVPARM: Running DOOM by typing "doom -devparm" will give you the     ║
  92.  ║               ability to save screenshots of DOOM. The screenshots DOOM    ║
  93.  ║               saves, will be saved in the "PCX" format. Whenever you       ║
  94.  ║               think: "Oh yeah, I wish I could save a screenshot of this",  ║
  95.  ║               while playing DOOM, press the "F1-key" to save a DOOM-       ║
  96.  ║               screenshot. While the shot is saved, DOOM will give the      ║
  97.  ║               message "screenshot" (how appropriate). The first screenshot ║
  98.  ║               you save will be named "doom00.pcx", the second "doom01.pcx" ║
  99.  ║               and so on. Beware however, that you do not save too many     ║
  100.  ║               screenshots, while playing DOOM, because saving too many     ║
  101.  ║               screenshots can result in an memory-error. This counts       ║
  102.  ║               especially for those lamers among you, who are trying (the   ║
  103.  ║               poor bastards) to play DOOM with only 4 Megs of RAM. Well at ║
  104.  ║               least, DOOM works with 4 Megs of RAM, but this game really   ║
  105.  ║               needs 8 Megs of RAM!                                         ║

  111.  ║  If you want to print out this document just copy the "DOOM-NFO.HP"-file   ║
  112.  ║  and "PTISPOOL.EXE" to your Hard Disk, then type this command: "PTISPOOL   ║
  113.  ║  DOOM-NFO.HP /P=PRN [Enter]". You must have a LASER PRINTER in order to do ║
  114.  ║  this - the result is EXCELLENT!!! The Laser Printer must be connected to  ║
  115.  ║  port "LPT1". It is NOT guaranteed that this works on every Laser Printer, ║
  116.  ║  but if you have a Hewlett Packard, you will not run into any              ║
  117.  ║  (compatibility)-problems. If you do not have one then load the ".DOS"     ║
  118.  ║  (DOOM-NFO.DOS) version into a text-editor Then print it out on your       ║
  119.  ║  (dull/lame) matrix printer or (acceptable) inkjet printer. If you do not  ║
  120.  ║  have printer its simple: you cannot print it out!                         ║
